ESTHER

C.G. Lidarti

“…never a dull moment…quick changing moods from laughing to despair, from death to good fortune...”

Kritisches Journal der Alten Musik
The legendary story of Esther comes to life with the recently discovered oratorio by classical composer CG Lidarti. Sung in the original Hebrew, Le Tendre Amour presents this fascinating 1774 work in an adaptation especially created by the ensemble. Costumes and masks help to tell the story of Esther in an intimate setting as we celebrate the exciting festival of Purim. Following the lead of commedia dell´arte artist Adrián Schvarzstein, everyone is included in the carnival-type fun. Don’t forget your noisemaker!
